Despite a poor start, Valentino Rossi charged through the pack on a wet track to get his first win in the 500cc class ahead of Kenny Roberts Jr. and Jeremy McWilliams.
What a great, exciting race. These used to be common in MotoGP, until traction control came along and ruined things. Without it, I think Rossi would be up to at least 10 MotoGP championships by now.
I remember watching this with my father back in 2000 to this day probably one of the best Rossi's performance you'll ever see. Having such shitty start and coming on top of it all just show how good bike rider VR is and the potential he has, dont think ive seen any other rider do this. It's just hard to explain there is no one like him hes one of a kind.
